History

The old Philadelphia Church in Väckelsång, formerly the old school, became The Bee Tree Encaustic Art Centre in 2005. The Bee Tree (www.beetree.se) is still run by Frances and Adrian Gill as a centre for encaustic art but in 2012 it was decided to a develop a new side to this business by creating ‘English House’. English House is an intimate venue for meetings and parties, both private and business, and houses a vintage snooker table for snooker games and activities.

Frances Gill

“I love creating and especially enjoy the theatre of interior design. I am gradually trying to create an impression of Colonial England in the two rooms and have been working with Annika Svensson who has inspired new ideas, and whose sculptures of characters from Alice in Wonderland have found a home in the house.”

Adrian Gill

“I am passionate about pool and snooker which I have played and competed in for over thirty years. As a player, referee and coach, I invite you to come and try out my snooker table, challenge me to a game, get some tips, or allow me to personally referee your game. Please see the ‘snooker’ tab for all the news.”
